SAT House recently participated in a discussion about our upcoming feature film Manawadu Estate on a Sri Lankan national television morning program. The conversation focused on the film’s concept, creative direction, and the ideas behind presenting a science-fiction story through an experimental narrative format.
During the program, we discussed Manawadu Estate as a Sri Lankan sci-fi project that explores storytelling through found-footage and screenlife techniques.
The discussion highlighted how the film blends technology-driven narratives with human emotion, while being developed within independent and low-budget filmmaking constraints. Insights into the creative process, the themes of the film, and the motivation behind the project were also shared.
In addition to the discussion about the film, SAT House announced the planned television release of Manawadu Estate. The film is scheduled to be streamed on ITV on 15th February 2026 at 9.30 PM.
Viewers will be able to watch the film on:
PEO TV – Channel 125
FreeSat – Channel 25
Through this television streaming, SAT House aims to reach a wider audience and contribute to the growth of experimental and science-fiction storytelling within Sri Lankan cinema.
We extend our sincere thanks to the television program team for providing a platform to discuss Manawadu Estate and share our upcoming plans. We invite audiences across the country to tune in on the announced date and time to experience this unique cinematic project.
